Freedom School of Arts and Entrepreneurship
The Freedom School of Arts and Entrepreneurship is a five-month program that explores different forms of art and their roles in the development of a business. The students will learn the five P's: Planning, Profit, Production, Promotion, and Presentation. These five themes will essentially help prepare the students to produce their own business.
Foundation
First Month (Planning):
The students will learn about the elements of Hip-Hop culture and how it helped develop young entrepreneurs. They will also begin to find their own identities and develop a plan.
Second Month (Profit):
Each student will identify the importance of mathematics when starting a business. Topics such as: accounting, financing, fundraising, and grants, will be discussed. The students will participate in a series of workshops that will assist them.
Execution
Third Month (Production):
The students will begin to produce a prototype for their business idea and learn the importance of patenting.
Fourth Month (Promotion):
During this month, the students will learn about marketing via commercials, billboards, advertisements, social media, etc.
Fifth Month (Presentation):
The program ends with the students presenting their business idea and prototype to the public.
